A lot has changed in the last few months with the launch of the new car and having had just one test day I didn't feel as prepared for the Clipsal 500 as I would have liked.
So going into the weekend I was prepared to fight it out to make sure we came out of the other end of the weekend somewhere in the top 5.
I would never have imagined we would be leading the championship after Adelaide in such a new and untested car. Even so, that's not to say we are off and running and set for Perth. In reality,
I don't think we had the fastest car on Saturday or Sunday or any other day over the round.
We just worked hard at it and did the best job possible with the speed we had and most importantly we learned a tremendous amount about the new car.
There is a lot of work to do to get the speed and reliability we had at the end of last year but we are in a great spot in the championship and we are well on our way to getting more out of the new car.
