A RIDE IN THE MOUNTAINS

We rode for about 3 and a half hours and clocked up around 85km. It was the hardest 85km I have ever done on a bike and probably the most enjoyable. I was so exhausted that it was a real struggle just to hold on to the handle bars for the last hour of the ride.

I got through without putting a scratch on the new bike although it did get a tad wet due to a mishap on a river crossing.

It was amazing how different I felt from the start of the ride to the end! Although I was so tired by the end, I really started to feel comfortable on the bike, especially in the areas that I had very little prior experience like the steep descents down the mountains through washaways and jumping over obstacles.
Things that would normally make my eyes pop out and my heart miss a beat on approach started to hardly register as I passed over them.

The bike performed awesome and I wouldn't change a thing on it other than a few more of my stickers when I get a chance to put them on.

I was absolutely spent that night and was in bed almost delirious by 8 o clock.

I can't wait for the next free weekend to get back up there and enjoy the scenery and my new KLX450.
