JACK DANIEL'S RACING - THURSDAY BATHURST QUOTEBOARD

Ben Collins - #15 Jack Daniel's Racing Holden Commodore:

"I think this track is fantastic and it's lived up to everything that people have told me and even more," said Ben Collins.

"It's very challenging. The first day is the hardest part, I hope, because I'm learning the track and also trying to get the car balanced.

"I'm building up the speed and at the moment I've got a lot to make up, but it's only day one so I can come at it tomorrow with a better idea of the whole thing."

Nathan Pretty - #15 Jack Daniel's Racing Holden Commodore:

"A big thing today was trying to get Ben a lot of miles in the car.

"He certainly got a lot faster over the course of the day and his nerves have gone away. It's a pretty daunting place.

"Just for me today was about getting laps under my belt. I did the first new tyre run that I've done in a long time, so I didn't get anywhere near enough out of the tyres.

"We've got a reasonably happy set-up going with our car so we're happy about today."
