We took the inboard back to the same course a month ago to compete in the dash for the Berri 110 and that was an absolute blast. Rick drove the boat, Cam Cox observed and Brett Dominguez and I were on the back skiing. It was only a 15km dash and we sat on 100mph for the first half of the run until we started to get rough water. We ended up winning it by .4 of a second.
We have a small break in the ski racing now with our next race in February at Echuca being the Southern 80. I'm planning to put a new engine in Dad's boat and give it a full service over Christmas and we will be doing a lot of testing with the new F2 boat that Rick has built for next year.
I'm looking forward to Homebush at the moment though, even in the old chassis I'm looking forward to a strong result. We have really got on top of it now with our cars being right on the pace for the last 4 or 5 rounds. It's certainly come at a good time to try and sign sponsors and drivers for next year and most importantly gain some momentum to hit next years championship hard.
All the best,
Todd Kelly
