TODD AND RICK KELLY GAIN CONFIDENCE AFTER PRACTICE IN HAMILTON

JACK DANIEL'S RACING QUOTEBOARD

RICK KELLY - #15 Jack Daniel's Racing Holden Commodore:

"I'm really happy with that," said Rick Kelly.

"Our first session was hindered a little bit by a few 'niggly' little dramas, which we ironed out.

"So the first comfortable lap I did in the car was at the start of our second session and after that we made another improvement and went quicker again.

"That time was good enough for second until people started bolting greens on.

"We made another couple of improvement for the first sector of the lap, which found us a few tenths and while we were running on older tyres as well.

"So I'm really happy with how the Jack Daniel's Commodore is going and originally we planned to bolt a set of greens on but I don't think we needed to so we saved them for qualifying.

"Provided the car does everything we expect it to on a set of greens, tomorrow should be a really good day for us, hopefully our best for the year."

TODD KELLY - #7 Jack Daniel's Racing Holden Commodore:

"Today wasn't too bad for us," said Todd Kelly.

"There are parts on the track where our Jack Daniel's Commodore is just about the quickest car out there and there are other parts of the track where I'm probably between 15th and 20th fastest.

"So we need to get a little bit better balance and improve our overall lap time. But all the ingredients are already there.

"We can do a really good lap if the car is right so we need to sit down and decipher exactly what we need to do with the car to do a better job over a whole lap.

"If we can manage to achieve that overnight we will definitely be in for a good shot tomorrow."
