I am really looking forward to Darwin this year, not only for the weather but also because it is not a bad place to go to race. I enjoy the track and Darwin is a relaxing kind of city to be in.
Over the years the Darwin round has been both outstanding for us and at other times not so good. At least we know we have done the job there before so if we get it right this year we can do it again.
Like almost every track we go to, the car setup is critical in Darwin.
The key things to focus on are braking performance and power down.
It's extremely important at Hidden Valley to get the car into the corners well and have really good, stable exits with enough drive to ensure the rear tyres last the distance.
Given the nature of the track and the way you need to look after the car, qualifying is very important. Equally as important are the pit stops and race strategy.
We have had some fairly good speed at most of the tracks so far this year so hopefully we can carry on with that and try to peg back Rick and Garth in the championship.
